Most people have experienced trauma at some stage in their lives. Trauma is not just PTSD and a big acute event. It is so much more varied and complex. There are many different types of trauma (check of my podcast - episode 2, to learn about them). A lot of people dont feel their trauma is valid and suppress it.
If you were the black sheep. You were criticised a lot as a child/teen. You never felt good enough for one or both of your parents. Any of your caregivers where controlling or abusive. You felt 'cared for' physically, but emotionally neglected. You were bullied at school.
These are ALL valid trauma and form the basis of your identity, core beliefs about yourself and how you show up in the world. Including whether you feel worthy to follow your dreams. Or you might feel like you need to be constantly proving yourself in order to be worthy or good enough.... day to day.
You are not broken. You do not need to be fixed. Healing trauma & feeling confident in who you are, takes help from an experienced practictioner.

Due to the complex nature of trauma and each client's unconscious layers the work often flows from one topic or technique to another organically and intuitively. Sessions are most effective when they are fluid, natural and free from expectation. Do not be surprised if in a session while exploring relationship or work related issues we end up in childhood issues or a core memory in teen years or older. Keep an open mind.
